As an innovator in the healthcare technology space, Tabula Rasa HealthCare (TRHC) offers clients new beginnings with trusted solutions to optimize the safe use of medications for people everywhere. We believe in the importance of a culture that matches the values of our employees and that the way we work is just as important as the services we provide.

What matters to us

TRHC fosters personal and professional growth. We think that a strong corporate culture empowers our employees to make a difference in their communities. We even offer employees paid time off to pursue their passions in service to themselves and others.

Diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) initiatives are essential at TRHC, and our DEI committee is dedicated to providing programs and resources to foster success in our teams and our communities.

Corporate governance

We set high standards for the company’s employees, officers, and directors. Clear guidelines and accountability help ensure proper management of the company.

The fundamentals

The TRHC Way describes our organizational culture. It is based on 32 fundamental principles that help guide our people toward success both in and out of the office.

Take pride in the quality of all touches. Pay attention to the details. From the spelling of a patient’s name to the provisions in the contract, from the address on the label to following the procedure exactly…details matter. Be a fanatic about accuracy and precision. Always ask yourself, “Is this my best work?”

Understand both your internal and external clients’ world. Know their challenges and frustrations. Show “business empathy” by thinking from their perspective. The better you understand them, the more effectivelyou can anticipate and meet their needs.

Work as quickly as possible without sacrificing quality. Don’t put off until tomorrow what can be completed today. Act decisively.

Create clarity and avoid misunderstandings by discussing expectations upfront. Establish mutually understood objectives and deadlines for all projects, issues, and commitments.

Speak professionally, honestly, and respectfully in a way that moves action forward. Make clear and direct requests. Say what you mean, and mean what you say. Ask questions, share ideas, and raise issues that may cause conflict when it’s necessary
for team success. Address issues directly with those who are involved or affected.

Put serving the patients’ interest at the center of all decisions. It’s a patient we’re working on behalf of, not a specimen or a lab test. Imagine that the patient is a family member of yours.

Regularly seek out opportunities to assist those in need, both individually and through coordinated team activities. Contribute your time and effort to make your community better. Make a difference.

Collaborating generates better ideas than working alone.
Be inclusive of your teammates and open to different perspectives that may challenge your way of thinking. Be willing to ask for help, rather than finding yourself alone on an island.

With appropriate respect for confidentiality, share information freely. The more people know, the better we can collaborate and the faster and more nimbly we can respond to both concerns and opportunities. Information is one of our greatest assets. Find it, share it, and use it.

Listening is more than simply “not speaking”. Give people your undivided attention, without interrupting. Be present and engaged. Ask questions, suspend your judgment, and be curious to learn more. Listen with care and empathy. Above all, listen to understand.

We’re all responsible for, and benefit from, Tabula Rasa HealthCare’s brand and reputation. Understand the difference we make in people’s lives and the full impact we have. Become an expert at clearly articulating our compelling value. Be a brand ambassador and act in a way that brings honor to us all.

Internal and external clients rely on us and we rely on others. Record a follow-up date for every action and take responsibility for its completion. The goal is to complete things, not simply to work on them.

Look for the best solution, not the one that’s
just “good enough”. Innovation, improvement, and success don’t come from playing it safe. Don’t be afraid to make mistakes. We learn the most when we try something new. Use sound judgment. Apply your creativity, spirit, and enthusiasm to developing great solutions.

Acknowledge people doing things right and going above and beyond. Regularly extend meaningful feedback and appreciation in all directions throughout the organization.

Always ask yourself—how can I improve the value of the business, by reducing costs, increasing revenue, building our reputation, or other actions that will make us better?

Our internal and external clients expect us to respond to their questions and concerns quickly. Whether it’s in person, or on the phone, or by email, be a fanatic about response time and keeping others in the loop about the status of their issues.

See every interaction as an opportunity to create an extraordinary experience. Take the extra steps to amaze people and create experiences they’ll tell others about. Do the unexpected. Position Tabula Rasa HealthCare to be a centenarian company.

Don’t let your own ego or personal agenda get in the way of doing what’s best for the team. Promote the team. Be there for each other. Work together and encourage your teammates. Be willing to step into another role or help a team member when the moment calls for it. We win and lose as a team.

Do what you say you’re going to do when you say you’re going to do it. This includes being on time for all phone calls, appointments, meetings, and promises. If a commitment can’t be fulfilled, notify others early and agree on a new commitment to be honored.

Nothing stays the same. Change creates energy, excitement and learning. Be inspired by the challenges and possibilities that change creates. The better and faster we can adapt to change, the stronger Tabula Rasa HealthCare becomes.

Constantly reevaluate every aspect of your position. Challenge yourself to be better. Don’t be satisfied with the status quo. Demonstrate a commitment to lifelong learning.

Take personal responsibility for making good things happen. Respond to every situation by looking for how we can do it, rather than explaining why it can’t be done. Be resourceful and show initiative. Don’t make excuses or wait for others to solve the problem. See issues through to their completion.

Work from the assumption that people’s intentions are good, and that the thought behind their actions is positive. Set aside your own judgments and preconceived notions. Give people the benefit of the doubt.

Be willing to do whatever it takes to accomplish the job…plus a little bit more. Go beyond the minimum requirements, and make it the best that you can. Even if it takes doing something that wouldn’t normally be part of your position’s responsibility, it’s the extra mile that separates the average person from the superstar.

Address issues by discovering the root cause rather than simply tackling the symptoms. It’s better to invest time in developing long-term solutions rather than simply putting on a quick fix.

Making sure your personal appearance is appropriate and professional, and your work area is neat, clean, and orderly inspires confidence in our quality. Take pride in being a Tabula Rasa HealthCare team member and remember that we’re all part of the Business Development and Marketing Department.

Fix mistakes by focusing your attention on developing solutions, rather than placing blame or dwelling on problems. Identify lessons learned and use those lessons to improve yourself and our processes so we don’t make the same mistake twice. Get smarter with every mistake. Learn from every experience.

Our relationships go deeper than simply being teammates at work. We genuinely care for and about each other. Whether it’s a kind word, a friendly smile each morning, or a helping hand during stressful times, show your compassion.

We appreciate effort, but we reward and celebrate results. Set high goals, track your progress, and hold yourself accountable for achieving results.

Make the most of each day by approaching every task with energy, focus, purpose, and enthusiasm. Start each day with a positive attitude and be fully engaged!

Remember that the world has bigger problems than even the most difficult challenges that make up your daily work. Keep perspective. Don’t take yourself too seriously. Smile and laugh every day.
