TRHC Presents at Institute for Healthcare Improvement’s National Forum on Quality Improvement in Health Care

Moorestown, NJ, December 11, 2019 – Tabula Rasa HealthCare, Inc. (TRHC) (NASDAQ: TRHC) Senior Director of Learning and Development Lauren E. Steffen, PharmD, BCGP presented at the Institute for Health Improvement’s National Forum on Quality Improvement in Health Care held December 9-11, 2019 in Orlando, FL.

TRHC is a healthcare technology company advancing the field of medication safety. The Company is a leader in providing patient-specific, data-driven technology and solutions that enable healthcare organizations to optimize medication safety.

“The IHI Forum provides an excellent opportunity for TRHC to explain and share its science-based medication risk technology with Forum attendees, the majority of whom are the nation’s healthcare providers,” said TRHC Chairman and CEO Calvin H. Knowlton, PhD. “Dr. Steffen’s abstract will explain the science behind, and the outcomes resulting from, using our proprietary MedWise Risk Score technology developed to assess medication-related risks and improve patient safety.”

A key feature of the four-day conference is the abstracts describing research or improvement projects that have been implemented in a practical setting with a discussion of the challenges and barriers to implementation. Abstracts must report on findings of implemented research or improvement projects, not descriptions of planned projects.

“I look forward to presenting how the MedWise Risk Score assesses multiple areas of medication-related risk to give healthcare teams a broader, quantitative picture of medication safety in patient cohorts,” stated Dr. Steffen. “The MedWise Risk Score can be used to identify patients who would benefit from targeted intervention. It also is used to assess trends in patients over time, including changes with intervention.

These storyboards are intended to highlight cutting-edge patient safety research or the utilization of patient safety approaches, methods and tools that result in demonstrated reductions in harm or improved patient safety. That is what I intend to do when presenting TRHC’s MedWise Risk Score technology.”

Accepted storyboards will be displayed in a designated area of the Learning & Simulation Center (the Congress exhibit hall), which will be open to attendees during all Learning & Simulation Center hours.

Dr. Lauren Steffen currently serves as Sr. Director of Learning & Development within the corporate university of Tabula Rasa HealthCare. She is responsible for education in a variety of facets, including for healthcare professionals, patients, and the TRHC team, which are all offered by Tabula Rasa HealthCare University. Dr. Steffen is Board Certified in Geriatric Pharmacotherapy.
