Bill Copeland, retired from Deloitte in May 2019, is the former Vice Chairman, U.S. Life Sciences and Health Care practice Leader for Deloitte LLP which includes health plans, health care providers and life sciences. A 31 year veteran with Deloitte, Bill has advised some of the organization’s largest health care industry clients on their most strategic and transformative events, including mergers, affiliations, new business initiatives and financial and operational turnaround plans. He has also led projects around corporate governance and new management processes that link strategy to metrics and board oversight.
With over 37 years of healthcare experience, Bill speaks and writes frequently on issues related to emerging health care trends, innovation and health care policy and is a contributor to a number of publications and online forums. Bill authored several research publications on Value Based Care, Innovation and Health Reform produced by the Deloitte Center for Health Solutions. He has also written chapters for books on managed care and has been quoted by the Wall Street Journal, New York Times, Modern Health Care and Managed Healthcare Executive.
Bill has an MBA from the University of Notre Dame and a Bachelor of Arts with majors in psychology and economics from the University of Dayton.
