Kelli Kovak is responsible for the overall leadership and strategic direction among health plans, health systems, community pharmacies, and other entities that would benefit from TRHC’s MedWise® technology and clinical services.

Ms. Kovak has more than 30 years of experience in managed healthcare, driving growth and operational performance. She has managed and operated divisions and companies ranging from $3 million to $4 billion in revenue. In her role as VP, Clinical Engagement for OptumRx, she was responsible for the strategic direction and development of clinical engagement activities, including medication therapy management, medication adherence, opioid management, drug utilization review, rare disease programs, and digital capabilities, among others, that improve healthcare and lower costs through member, physician, and pharmacy engagement. She led the management of multiple complex clinical projects and development of new products that addressed care across several stakeholders to support departmental profit goals.  Prior to joining OptumRx, she was the CEO of a pharmaceutical start-up company focused on sleep products.

As Vice President of Strategy Management/Strategic Operations for Cardinal Health, Ms. Kovak was responsible for all facets of the Specialty Solutions Payer Group. While at Cardinal, she spearheaded numerous strategic partnerships, revenue and asset optimization, sales, and go-to market strategies. Previously, she served as SVP, Client and Business Initiatives at Dohmen (now OptumRx) where she was key in developing several partnerships as well as successfully transforming the company to be acquired. She also has held senior level positions at CVS/Caremark, Blue Cross/Blue Shield of Illinois, Eli Lilly, and Humana.

Ms. Kovak has served on several boards, including Bleeding Disorders Association of Illinois.

Ms. Kovak earned a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from Purdue University and received an MBA in Finance and International Business from the University of Illinois.
