Edward Merle Johnson II, PharmD, PhD, MBA, BCPS is a clinical research scientist II at TRHC’s Precision Pharmacotherapy R&D Institute. Dr. Johnson received his PharmD from West Virginia University School of Pharmacy in 2003 and his PhD in Organic Chemistry/Drug Design and Synthesis from University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee in 2012. Afterwards, Dr. Johnson continued his education and received an MBA in Healthcare Administration from Concordia University – Wisconsin in 2016 and obtained Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification in 2018. Dr. Johnson has obtained multiple clinical and professional certifications including Board Certified Pharmacotherapy Specialist, pharmacogenomic certification, and pain management certification. He is an experienced pharmacy leader and researcher with a demonstrated history of working in clinical hospitals, healthcare industries, academic research, and pharmaceutical startup companies. He is skilled in CNS disorders focusing on drug therapies and drug design and development, synthetic organic chemistry, drug metabolism, and pharmacogenomics and precision medicine.
