David Thacker, PharmD, RPh, is a senior clinical scientist at TRHC’s Precision Pharmacotherapy Research & Development Institute in Orlando. Dr Thacker received his PharmD from Shenandoah University in 2003 and his Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from Virginia Tech in 1991. Dr. Thacker has been involved in clinical pharmacology research since 1991, including pharmacokinetic/pharmacodynamics; drug-drug interactions; pharmacovigilance and regulatory affairs; and modeling and simulation. After obtaining his PharmD, Dr. Thacker furthered his training with a NIH Fellowship in clinical pharmacology at Indiana University. Recently, Dr. Thacker has been involved in the implementation of pharmacogenetics, including authorship on the Clinical Pharmacogenetics Implementation Consortium (CPIC) Guideline for proton pump inhibitors and CYP2C19. Dr. Thacker brings a vast array of experience, from research to clinical pharmacy, to helping patients make the most out of their pharmacy experience.
