Dr. Jim Mault serves as the President and Chief Medical Officer of CQuentia. He has more than 35 years of experience in senior executive positions in the health information technology and medical device industries as well as in clinical medicine. His leadership responsibilities include strategic planning and business development, mergers and acquisitions, new product innovation, new client acquisition, and clinical program and regulatory oversight. Additionally, Dr. Mault oversees the company’s health policy and government affairs activities while spearheading all CQuentia’s public relations and serving as the company’s global spokesperson.
Dr. Richard Schamp has more than 30 years of experience in geriatric care and leadership across a variety of healthcare organizations. Dr. Schamp has been a consultant to nearly two-thirds of PACE organizations since 2001 and has trained hundreds of medical directors and primary care providers in clinical topics related to value-based healthcare. As former CEO of Capstone Performance Systems, he is an industry expert in Medicare risk adjustment. Dr. Schamp has been certified in healthcare ethics and as a long-term care medical director and has served as the chair of the National PACE Association’s Primary Care Committee and on the Board of Directors for the National PACE Association. Dr. Schamp earned his Doctorate of Medicine degree from the University of Kansas.
Dr. Jonathan Miller grew up in Cleveland, OH, and Wilmington, DE. He is a big Cavaliers/Eagles fan! He is a graduate of Wilmington Friends School (DE) and Trinity College (CONN). Upon graduation, he was commissioned in the US Marine Corps as a Communications Officer. He served primarily at the Marine Air Wing, El Toro, CA. Following his military service he pursued his studies at Princeton Seminary where he earned his Master of Divinity and Doctor of Ministry degrees. He served 40 years as a pastor in the Presbyterian Church (USA), most recently at the First Presbyterian Church in Moorestown, NJ. He began his work at TRHC as Chief Culture Officer in August of 2016, and loves working with men and women who care not only about their relationships with clients, but also and especially about how they care for and support one another. “Welcome to a rare and unusual team of people that we dare to call `family’ (Fundamental 29)!”
With more than 30 years of experience, Kim Browning is known as a healthcare pioneer and innovator. She has served and provided leadership to the Individual, Commercial, Medicare, Medicaid, and Self-funded markets. During her tenure as the State Government Programs division head at Excellus BlueCross BlueShield, the plan was ranked #1 in New York and #3 nationally for Medicaid contractors in US News & World Report’s 2009 rankings of health plans. In addition to her leadership roles at several BlueCross BlueShield plans, Ms. Browning has served as COO of a Third Party Administrator, Executive Director of a community health plan, and as Executive Vice President of Cognisight, a national risk adjustment vendor. She joined Tabula Rasa HealthCare in 2018 where she oversees Capstone Performance Systems, Peak Health Management Services, a Capstone offering, and eClusive. Ms. Browning earned a dual degree from State University College at Buffalo and holds several post graduate certifications, including PMP, CHC, and CHRS. She also has a certification in non-profit Board Governance and was a Healthcare Benefit Academy Fellow in 2017. An author of several white papers on risk adjustment, Ms. Browning is a frequent speaker on the topic at industry meetings and often lectures at Rochester Institute of Technology and the State University of New York at Geneseo.
Calvin H. Knowlton, BScPharm, MDiv, PhD, is the Founder, CEO and Chairman of TRHC. He is the Founder of ten companies, including CareKinesis, the first national Medication Risk Mitigation company dedicated to PACE (Programs of All-inclusive Care for the Elderly), and excelleRx/Hospice Pharmacia. Dr. Knowlton has received numerous awards for his leadership in pharmacy, business, and philanthropy. He is a recipient of the 2015 Remington Honor Medal, Pharmacy’s Highest Award, presented by the American Pharmacists Association (APhA) and was named named the Most Influential US Pharmacist in 1997. Dr. Knowlton has served as the national President for the American College of Apothecaries; President of the APhA for two terms; and President of the APhA Foundation. He is a member of the APhA Pharmacogenomics Task Force, as well as the FDA-recognized National Pharmacogenomics Advisory Group.
As SVP Total Quality Management, Carlos Perez provides expertise and leadership for TRHC’s Total Quality Management Department. He oversees system processes to meet client expectations and supports the evaluation of performance improvement and innovation. He guides TRHC clinical teams in the implementation of evidence-based practice, instituting policies and procedures to help standardize the practices. Mr. Perez is passionate about the care of the elderly. He has a wide range of nursing and leadership experience in the acute care and outpatient setting. As a nurse leader, he was instrumental in the development and initial grant financing of an Acute Care for Elders unit in a regional medical center, which today continues to deliver specialized care for hospitalized, vulnerable elders. Prior to joining TRHC in 2014, Mr. Perez served as Director of Nursing for a PACE program in NJ. Mr. Perez received his undergraduate nursing degree from the University of Delaware, and his Masters of Science in Nursing, with emphasis in leadership and health system management, from Drexel University. He is board certified in gerontological nursing by the American Nurses Credentialing Center.
Dr. Jacques Turgeon is the Chief Scientific Officer at TRHC and CEO of the company’s Precision Pharmacotherapy Research and Development Institute in Lake Nona, Orlando, FL. He was previously Associate Dean of the Lake Nona campus at the University of Florida (UF) College of Pharmacy and Professor in the Department of Pharmaceutics. Before joining UF, Dr. Turgeon held several leadership positions at the University of Montreal and taught pharmacology at the University of Pennsylvania Perelman School of Medicine. Dr. Turgeon is a known expert on pharmacogenetics and drug–drug interactions, particularly among treatments for cardiovascular disease. Through his research, he has worked to implement clinical decision support systems and optimize patient care. He is a fellow of the Canadian Academy of Health Sciences and Académie Nationale de Médecine, France. Dr. Turgeon began his pharmacy studies at the Université Laval in Québec, Canada, earning his BSc, MSc, and PhD from the École de Pharmacie. In 1998, he moved to Nashville, TN, to pursue a postdoctoral fellowship in the Department of Clinical Pharmacology at Vanderbilt University. Dr. Turgeon is the newest member of the American Society for Clinical Pharmacology and Therapeutics Board of Directors and began his appointment as treasurer in March 2019.
Veronique Michaud, BPharm, PhD, is Chief Operating Officer of Tabula Rasa HealthCare’s Precision Pharmacotherapy Research & Development Institute in Lake Nona Medical City in Orlando, Florida. Dr. Michaud’s unique expertise in pharmacokinetics, drug-metabolism, drug-drug interactions, pharmacogenomics, and the study of intracellular drug-metabolism will help expand the products developed by the Institute for TRHC. During her career, she has earned more than $22 million in research awards, published more than 35 peer-reviewed journal articles, and mentored graduate students and PharmD residents. She completed fellowships at Indiana University in Indianapolis and McGill University in Montreal and earned her PhD and MSc degrees from the Université de Montréal in Canada.
As Senior Vice President for Healthcare Analytics, Dr. Alan Stein’s role is to advance analytics and data science capabilities throughout Tabula Rasa HealthCare (TRHC). Dr. Stein is a physician-scientist with medical, technical, and research training, complemented by industry and senior management experience, and a passionate entrepreneurial spirit. Prior to joining TRHC, Dr. Stein was at Hewlett Packard Enterprises, where he led the development of a big-data analytics platform that helps healthcare systems improve clinical pathways and care delivery. He previously served as Chief Medical and Technology Officer for Zargis Medical Corporation in Princeton, NJ. Dr. Stein received his MD, PhD (Biophysics) and BS (Engineering) from the University of Pennsylvania. He is the recipient of numerous honors and awards and holds a United States patent. Dr. Stein is invited to speak on healthcare technology at venues around the world.
