Since February, 2015, Phillip W. Heath has served as Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) for Tabula Rasa HealthCare. In this role, he is ultimately responsible for the performance of each department, reporting to the CEO and president of the company.
Phillip’s key responsibilities include providing instructional leadership to department managers, working to develop and implement the company’s strategic plan, and reviewing administrative policy. Since joining Tabula Rasa, he was instrumental in launching the company-wide culture integration initiative, The TRHC Way, an innovative initiative to foster behaviors of high performance among employees. He has led initiatives to launch a number of cloud-based application creating efficiencies and automation in policy management and Human Capital Management. Most recently, he led the initiative to revise and update the company’s digital workplace and intranet. As CAO, Phillip serves as adviser to the CEO, providing strategic oversight, and ensuring alignment of organizational priorities. He leads special projects for the company, partnering with the executive team on the execution of critical business functions across the organization.
Prior to Tabula Rasa, Phillip served as Chief Marketing and Sales Officer and Chief Administrative Officer at InnovAge, a provider of long-term care services, including the Program of All-inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE). Mr. Heath brings more than 25 years of experience with various local, regional, and national healthcare organizations in the areas of sales, marketing, business development, government affairs and operations. He has extensive experience in the hospice, senior housing and long-term care arena.
Mr. Heath holds a B.A. from Morehouse College, an M.S. in Health Services Administration from the University of Detroit Mercy, and completed a Healthcare Leadership certification from Cornell University. He currently serves on the Board of Trustees of Samaritan Healthcare and Hospice of South Jersey and completed terms on the board of directors of the Alzheimer’s Association, Colorado Chapter, as an officer and national delegate. In 2018, Mr. Heath received the Minority Business Leader Award from the Philadelphia Business Journal, based on professional accomplishments, community leadership, philanthropy as well as awards and milestones.
